Phlebotomist II Float - Fresno, CA
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Rotational Weekends)
This position requires you to have a state phlebotomy license. (Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV).
Overview In a Phlebotomy float role you will experience a variety of work where no two days look the same. Responsibilities
Assigned a territory to cover phlebotomist duties within a Patient Service Center, doctor’s office, or as business needs dictate
Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing
Collect specimens as per established procedures (including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams)
Enter billing information and collect payment when required
Coach, mentor, instruct, and serve as a resource for new employees; act as the on-site point of contact and provide input to the group lead or supervisor
Travel to additional doctor’s offices or Patient Service Center sites when needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington
Three years phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections) required
Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred
English communication proficiency
Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $21.40 - $24.60 per hour. Salary offers are based on factors including skills, training, experience, education, and certifications, as well as market and organizational considerations. Eligible for annual performance bonus where applicable.
