Fleet Laboratories is seeking a
Maintenance Mechanic on 2nd Shift .
OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY: Apply technical skills and judgment to maintain and improve operational equipment and facilities safely and efficiently. Troubleshooting skills are essential.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on electromechanical devices, machinery, instrumentation, HVAC, fixtures, and furnishings throughout the facility.
Contribute to profitability by minimizing downtime and developing new or improved equipment, reducing capital expenses.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor and evaluate equipment issues, implementing solutions.
Assist in testing and evaluating raw materials and equipment.
Train and instruct production and maintenance staff on equipment modifications and installations.
Research manuals and drawings for parts procurement.
Provide feedback on equipment condition to supervisors.
Maintain machines to ensure quality and safety standards, keeping the work area clean and organized per GMPs.
Perform other related duties as needed.
Knowledge or willingness to learn electrical skills is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Extensive walking and occasional ladder use.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and handle heavier loads with assistance.
Work may be in confined spaces.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent, plus completion of an accredited apprenticeship or similar training.
At least two years of related experience.
