Endocrine Nurse Practitioner
to join City of Hope Lennar Foundation Cancer Center to support two endocrinologists in delivering high-quality patient care. This role includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, with a focus on glucose management and diabetes care. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing inpatient glucose control consultations and follow-up care, working collaboratively with the hospital care team to manage complex endocrine cases. In the outpatient setting, the NP will lead diabetes follow-up clinics in partnership with our ambulatory care team, helping to ensure continuity of care and optimal disease management for our patients. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team committed to improving outcomes for patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders. Responsibilities
Provide inpatient glucose control consultations and follow-up care as part of the hospital care team for complex endocrine cases. Lead diabetes follow-up clinics in the outpatient setting in partnership with the ambulatory care team to ensure continuity of care and optimal disease management. Collaborate with endocrinologists and other specialists to develop and implement treatment plans. Support glucose management and diabetes education for patients and families. Qualifications
Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in California National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., ANCC or AANP) Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in endocrinology, internal medicine, or a related specialty (preferred) Experience in managing inpatient glucose control and diabetes management Knowledge and experience in insulin treatment and insulin pump Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Ability to work independently in both inpatient and outpatient settings Current California RN license California NP License California NP Furnishing License within 6 months of hire DEA registration within 6 months of hire National NP Board Certification through accrediting body Specialty Certification as defined/required for role Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association
