Job Description The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide school-based therapy services to students in grades K–5. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering therapy, and maintaining documentation in accordance with physician orders and student care plans.
Responsibilities
Conduct speech and language evaluations
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
Provide direct therapy services to students
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
Caseload
Approximately 35–40 students (lower than average for most districts)
Qualifications
Active North Carolina SLP license (required)
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) preferred
Clinical Fellows (CF) may be considered
Current CPR certification (if applicable)
TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
Current health certificate (per contract/state regulation)
