Overview
Wellstar Health System is seeking BC/BE Trauma Acute Care Surgeons to join the busy trauma team at Kennestone. This Level 1 trauma center is located in Marietta, just northwest of Atlanta. It features the busiest Emergency Department in the state and offers teaching opportunities through the GME surgery residency program. Approximately 15% penetrative trauma. Responsibilities
Deliver trauma, surgical critical care, and acute care surgery coverage as part of a large team (about 10 physicians and APPs).
Provide care for trauma and surgical critical care patients; participate in teaching and leadership opportunities within the group and health system.
Flexible call schedule with in-house trauma/EGS call requirements of 7 24-hour calls per month (or 14 12-hour shifts).
Rotation: ICU weeks shared equally among partners; backup call duties shared equally among partners.

Qualifications
BC/BE in Trauma Acute Care Surgery.
Ideal candidates trained at Level 1 or busy Level 2 trauma centers; preferably completed a 2-year fellowship or have equivalent experience.
