Veterinary Extern - General Practice - $2,500 Stipend
Manvel Animal Clinic offers up to a $2,500 stipend for 2025 clinical year externships. Manvel Animal Clinic, proudly part of National Veterinary Associates (NVA), is excited to offer clinical year veterinary students the opportunity to join our team. As part of the NVA family, a network of over 1,000 veterinary hospitals, we are committed to providing exceptional care for cats and dogs. Our supportive and dynamic environment allows clinical year students to gain invaluable hands-on experience while working alongside a dedicated team of veterinarians.
About Our Hospital Manvel Animal Clinic has been proudly serving the community for over 50 years as an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accredited, full-service small animal practice. Our primary focus is enhancing the health and quality of life of the pets we care for. We offer a comprehensive range of services, including dentistry, diagnostic testing, digital radiology, microchipping, parasite control and prevention, prescription diets, preventative care/vaccinations, and surgery. We are undergoing a remodel to improve facilities and the experience for our team and clients. Our consistent patient flow and hours provide a great opportunity for clinical year students to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Externship Details
Externs will work closely with our veterinarians and gain hands-on experience in physical exams and diagnostics
Surgical procedures and dentistry services
Treatment plans and medical management
Client communication and teamwork
Externships typically range from 2 to 8 weeks, offering exposure to small animal medicine and helping externs develop essential skills in a variety of areas.
Stipend We offer up to a $2,500 stipend to help with travel and living expenses for clinical year externs. Details on the stipend program are available through the program listing.
Location Manvel, TX, located about 24 miles south of Houston, offers access to cultural, dining, and recreational options. The area combines small-town charm with convenient access to the Houston area.
