Nemours Children’s Health is seeking a Pharmacy Business Manager to join our Pharmacy team in Orlando, Florida. Location: Orlando, Fla. Nemours Children’s Hospital is the newest addition to the Nemours integrated healthcare system, featuring a 130-bed pediatric hospital with a 24-hour Emergency Department for kids, outpatient pediatric clinics, and a network of specialty clinics across the region. Responsibilities
Partner with and provide direct support to the Director of Pharmacy Operations and Support Services to develop and maintain strategic, operating and financial plans to accomplish the Enterprise Mission and departmental financial goals. Plan, evaluate, coordinate, administer, implement and review all pharmacy financial activities, including preparation of expense and capital budgets, financial reports and statistics, analysis of benchmark data, and evaluation of new programs impacting pharmacy finances. Collaborate with the Pharmacy Support Services Manager to assist in the management of supply expenses. Manage daily financial business issues and challenges for the Pharmacy Department, including maintenance and accuracy of the pharmacy charge master and charge capture, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support efficient business operations. Collaborate with Pharmacy Managers, 340B Compliance Analyst and Pharmacy Purchasers on financial-related issues. Oversee management and compliance of the 340B drug discount program per HRSA Office of Pharmacy Affairs guidance. Develop policies and procedures related to the 340B program and perform self-audits and external audits; oversee split billing software and 340B purchasing/inventory processes; coordinate development and evaluation of new contract pharmacy business; identify growth opportunities for 340B programs; facilitate 340B Committee Meetings. Oversee daily departmental financial activities including interdepartmental billing, charging, and accounts payable/receivable for Inpatient, Outpatient, and Investigational Pharmacy. Develop and monitor operational and capital budgets in collaboration with leadership; prepare executive summaries and schedules for hospital administration. Develop and maintain business processes related to revenue and expenses; prepare analyses to identify revenue opportunities and expense controls. Ensure departmental compliance with policies and procedures related to reimbursements and payment processes (e.g., travel, dues, subscriptions). Prepare cost analyses for specific programs, procedures or activities; assist with analyses for new pharmacy business ventures. Review/coordinate/prepare detailed financial data reports to support department performance and assist in resolving financial issues; participate in financial contract reviews. Serve as a Pharmacy educator and resource to department members and other hospital staff on business processes, financial systems, and policies related to the Pharmacy department and 340B. Analyze and interpret financial data; make cost-saving recommendations and participate in cost-containment initiatives. Work with Legal and Contracts to establish contracts and agreements for the Pharmacy Department; maintain and annually review contracts for compliance. Act as the point person for developing a uniform pharmacy charge master for Nemours Florida; participate in developing the NCH pharmacy system related to the revenue cycle; maintain up-to-date charge master for medications reflecting pricing changes. Collaborate as an integral member of the Pharmacy Leadership Team. Qualifications
Master's Degree or higher required. Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience required. Business management experience in a similar role; proven track record with similar job functions (pharmacy business experience preferred). Working knowledge of billing, budget preparation, and fiscal management. Experience with 340B Program management. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. About Us
