BSN campus. These are on-site, in-person teaching opportunities that will start to teach on or after January 1, 2025 and pay $55/hr. Teaching opportunities include on a part-time basis for Masters and/or Doctorate-prepared nursing professionals seeking adjunct faculty roles. Teaching Opportunities Include

Med Surg Fundamentals (Funds) Critical Care Pediatrics (Peds) OB/Women's Health Flexibility to potentially teach Clinicals, Labs, and/or Didactic in other areas of the nursing curriculum; weekday daytime teaching availability is required* Arizona College of Nursing is a rapidly growing nursing school that prepares students for careers in nursing and to improve communities through the care its graduates provide. The college aims to meet the growing demand for nurses by launching campuses in markets where bachelor's-prepared nurses are needed. Responsibilities

Core Nursing

— Develops, implements, teaches, and evaluates the philosophy and objectives of the nursing education program; designs, implements, teaches, evaluates, and revises the curriculum; documents actions in faculty and committee meetings; leads simulation learning experiences in the Nursing Lab. Didactic

— Teaches and evaluates students in the classroom; creates an effective learning environment; supports student progression academically and socially; uses diverse assessment tools; participates in curriculum development, program evaluation, and revision; collaborates with Course Lead Faculty on student success plans and remediation; performs related duties as requested by the dean. Clinical

— Facilitates application of theory to clinical practice; attends facility orientation; maintains knowledge of program outcomes and course objectives; communicates professionally with clinical agencies, staff, faculty, and students; identifies and communicates issues and recommends solutions; provides regular updates on student progress; grades clinical work and provides timely feedback; maintains student performance records; completes clinical site evaluations; adheres to institution and facility policies; attends course faculty meetings to align clinical rotations with didactic coursework. Other Responsibilities

— Plans, teaches, and evaluates classroom, clinical, skills labs and other learning experiences; connects students to college resources; participates in academic advisement; demonstrates and coaches soft skills (leadership and ethics, communication and critical thinking, teamwork, responsibility); attends orientation and faculty meetings; contributes to policy development; protects student privacy (FERPA). Qualifications

Graduate degree required; if the graduate degree is not in nursing, a Bachelor's in nursing and a graduate degree in a related discipline from an accredited program is required. Minimum of three (3) years of work experience as a professional registered nurse providing direct patient care. Previous teaching experience in a registered nursing program is preferred. Current unencumbered state professional registered nurse license or enhanced compact licensure relevant to the teaching location. Certified Nurse Educator certification and national certification in area of nursing specialty are preferred. Maintains professional competence through practice, continuing education, conferences, workshops, courses, and scholarly activity.
