await!**Job Description:**Microchip’s Discrete Products Group (DPG) offers one of the industry's most comprehensive power and RF/microwave discrete semiconductor product portfolios. The DPG encompasses two business units, the Power Discrete & Modules BU and the RF/Microwave Discrete BU. Markets the PDM & RF/MW Discrete BU's address include: alternative energy, industrial, medical, defense, commercial aviation, communications, embedded systems, motor control, power solutions, sensors and security. Please review the job description below and the qualifications required to be a successful candidate.Microchip DPG has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Senior Equipment Technician-Calibration. The right candidate will be calibrating the equipment used in the production of semiconductors. Will maintain calibration, PM, and asset systems or any other duties, as directed.**Requirements/Qualifications:*** Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Metrology, calibration of manufacturing equipment.* Ability to calibrate and perform repairs on test equipment and production equipment.* Ability to organize and maintain a calibration system for calibration and preventive maintenance of equipment.* Ability to work from schematics, mechanical drawings, or written instructions.* Ability to interface with auditors.* Experience in the use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, other test equipment for calibration, calibration standards, soldering irons and mechanical tools.* Familiarity with ISO-1725, MIL-453662A desired.* Ability to read, write and communicate in English.* Ability to use MS Office.* Ability to interface with parts or service vendors* Trade school or post high school certificate training in electronics desired.**U.S. Citizenship/Permanent Residency requirements as outlined below:**This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States.
