The Nurse Manager is responsible for the management of nursing practice and operations on a designated unit/service. This includes, but is not limited to, the management of clinical nursing practice, staff recruitment, retention, labor relations, supply chain and budget, staffing, employee performance evaluation, quality improvement, staff education, medical records, and internal and external regulatory and survey requirements. The Nurse Manager collaborates with multiple professionals to support and coordinate the provision/management of patient care. He or she works closely with the Nursing Clinical Director, unit Dyad partner, and staff in ensuring that the Service/Unit maintains the highest standards of patient care and is responsive to the needs of the patient & family as well as the organization Description

Responsibilities

Oversight of the administrative and operational duties of the Coronary Care Unit unit with 26 beds and 61 direct reports Staff Management, recruitment, retention, labor relations, employee performance evaluation, staff education, and staff schedules. Performance/quality improvement projects, internal and external regulatory and survey requirements. Maintenance of OMH/JCAHO Standards and implementation and evaluation of Quality Performance Initiatives. Patient experience/satisfaction. Supply chain and unit budget. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing required; masters degree in nursing or healthcare-related field preferred. Three years of clinical experience including Med/Surg with progressive nursing leadership experience Licensed as a registered nurse with current registration in New York State Basic Life Support (BLS) Issuing Agency: AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Issuing Agency: AHA

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $115494 - $173241 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need.
