Required Qualifications
At least one year of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification in compliance with state regulations.
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
Preferred Qualifications
Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).
Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance with state regulations.
PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification.
Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position.
Summary of Responsibilities
Prepare and position patients for interventional procedures ensuring comfort and safety.
Operate imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound to guide procedures.
Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details.
Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
Ensure radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self.
Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring readiness for procedures.
Manage and restock procedural supplies, including catheters, guidewires, and contrast agents.
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to provide seamless patient care.
Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols.
Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned to support IR lab operations.
Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Essential Skills

Proficient reading, writing, and verbal communication in English.
Proficiency with written instructions, verbal instructions, and PC skills.
Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.

Fine motor manipulation and the ability to assist with procedures and departmental equipment.
Ability to manage frequent contact with the general public and meet deadlines under pressure.
