Join Good Samaritan as a Speech Language Pathologist in West Union/Waukon, IA. This full-time role is part of our not-for-profit organization that has provided over 100 years of housing and services to seniors with a commitment to quality care and service in a Christian environment. The GSS Therapy team is seeking a SLP to join our team at West Union and Waukon skilled and rehab. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with no weekends required. We are looking for a candidate who can complement our team and split their time between West Union (50%) and Waukon (50%). Job Summary

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will administer speech and language evaluations, tests, or examinations to diagnose and plan treatments for clients/patients/residents with various speech problems and swallowing disorders. You will assess clients/patients/residents with various speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing problems and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical diagnoses. You will provide speech and language services to clients/patients/residents, monitor disease progression, and adjust treatments accordingly. You will instruct clients/patients/residents in practicing speech and language therapeutic exercises and provide consultation for clients/patients/residents working through speech and language treatment processes. Responsibilities

Administer speech and language evaluations, tests, or examinations to diagnose and plan treatments Assess clients/patients/residents with various speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing problems Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical diagnoses Provide speech and language services to clients/patients/residents Monitor disease progression and adjust treatments accordingly Qualifications

Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Speech-Language Pathologist When working at a Sanford Health Facility: Holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) or currently working on Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Obtains and subsequently maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment Benefits
