to be based out of our

Savannah, GA

location. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Adhere to Reeves Construction Company safety programs to ensure a safe work environment Shovel work around trenches Lifting pipe and operating compaction devices Locate and avoid underground utilities Ability to understand and interpret grade information Read and interpret grade instruments (rules, grade rods, carpenter levels, and lasers) Work and operate equipment in a safe and consistent manner Willingness to work nights and weekends Basic knowledge of soil types, trenching, and shoring Work independently and carry out detailed instructions Provide own transportation to and from work Physical Demands and Work Environment

Must be able to climb in and out of trenches multiple times per day, work in a trench for several hours without stopping, withstand vibration and noise from job site conditions, use arms, hands, and feet in repetitive motions, and lift up to 60 pounds. Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach and signal with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. Frequently required to stand, walk, and occasionally sit. Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and have visual acuity 20/40 with corrective lenses. Hearing should be excellent or corrected by an audio device. The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, vibration, fumes or airborne particles, wet or humid conditions, high places, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise levels are typically very loud. Qualifications, Education, and Experience

Must have 2 years of experience as a Pipe Layer in a similar industry. High school diploma or GED required; equivalent combinations of education and experience also acceptable. Required skills include: Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Common sense reasoning for written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions Problem‑solving ability for standardized situations Benefits and Compensation
