Job Description
Performs maintenance and repair activities on gas compression and/or process equipment at customer's location, as directed. Responsibilities
Maintains a safe and well-organized work environment. Performs most Call Outs (CO) independently, diagnosing and repairing mechanical problems on various compressor configurations. Participates in Major Maintenance (MM), Overhauls, and MOB/DEMOB as part of a team. Completes and submits required documentation accurately and promptly. Non-Essential Duties:
Performs other duties as assigned. All employees shall comply with the Archrock Health Safety and Environmental Policy and all applicable regulations at all times. Qualifications
Skills and Abilities:
Perform all essential duties effectively. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on multiple compressor types efficiently. Proven track record of performing Preventative Maintenance (PM) independently, with minimal Call Outs due to poor PM work. Conduct Major Maintenance, Overhauls, and MOB/DEMOB collaboratively. Handle Call Outs independently. Demonstrate strong customer service skills. Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English for work orders and manuals. Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental procedures. Use intermediate computer skills, including engine-specific software (Cat and Waukesha), Internet Explorer, and Outlook. Complete and submit documentation accurately and on time. Respond to after-hours requests on an on-call basis. Knowledge:
Understanding of gas engines, compressors, electrical systems, panel boards, wiring, control systems, and end-devices, through training or equivalent experience. Familiarity with new technologies and troubleshooting telematics. Knowledge of HSE procedures and regulations. Basic understanding of customer production equipment and processes. Awareness of company maintenance standards and adherence to checklists. Minimum Education and Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid driver's license with a good record. Gas or diesel engine and compressor training preferred. At least 3 years of experience with natural gas engines and compressors. Leadership:
Serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced team members. Physical Demands:
Must be fit for duty and meet medical requirements for PPE use. Manual dexterity, reaching, talking, hearing, sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, crawling, climbing, and vision requirements. Extensive travel and work in various weather conditions. Problem Solving and Impact:
Regularly identify and resolve problems, analyze data, and implement solutions. Actions impact operational and financial results, customer satisfaction, and safety. Freedom to Act:
