Position Summary The MRI Tech independently performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) utilizing proper techniques and contrast media administration. Works within their scope of practice, including medication administration, equipment operation, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and MRI scanner activities, exercises professional judgment, and maintains equipment. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities as needed and have on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications
Education:
Associate degree in Allied Health, with coursework in Medical Imaging Sciences and MRI physics (to be completed within 6 months of hire).
Certifications:
CPR required; MRI registry preferred; ODH licensure preferred; ARRT RT (R) or ARMRIT registry required.
Experience:
No prior experience required; one year MRI experience preferred.
Skills:
Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, ACR MRI Safe Practice Guidelines, proficiency in EMR, RIS, image storage, and advanced MRI applications.
Additional Information This is a full-time position with no supervisory responsibilities. On-call duties may be required.
