Ultrasound Technologist - Per Diem

Summary Provides health care services applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs ultrasonic imaging and related procedures in the following areas: OB/GYN, abdomen, pediatric extremities and vascular procedures. Demonstrates anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient's conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Population served based on scope of services in the department.

Job Requirements

Graduate from an AMA approved school of Sonography

RDMS or ARRT

Working Conditions

Manual: Some manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational: Some occupational risk

Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force

Physical Environment: Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
