Overview
This Organization is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. We are expanding our imaging services to include diagnostic and screening ultrasounds, including obstetric, abdominal, vascular, and 3D/4D imaging. We are seeking a skilled Sonographer to join our growing team and support ACR-compliant imaging practices. Position Summary
The Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders and ACR accreditation standards. This role requires the ability to obtain high-quality screening and diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Key Responsibilities
Perform ultrasound examinations following established protocols and ACR guidelines. Produce high-quality screening and diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists. Explain procedures to patients and ensure proper positioning and comfort. Maintain accurate patient documentation and submit completed studies in PACS systems. Ensure all ultrasound equipment is maintained and operating in accordance with safety and quality standards. Assist in maintaining ACR accreditation by adhering to imaging protocols and participating in quality assurance activities. Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient care. Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Certification: Registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in relevant specialties (e.g., OB/GYN, Abdomen, Vascular). Additional registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-Sonography) or CCI is acceptable depending on exam types performed. Experience: Minimum of 1-year clinical experience preferred. Compliance: Must meet all ACR requirements, including: Proper credentialing in the specific ultrasound modalities performed. Ongoing CME in ultrasound imaging (minimum 15 CME hours every 3 years per modality). BLS Certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross). Preferred Skills
Experience in abdominal, vascular, small parts, OB/GYN and 3D/4D imaging. Familiarity with ACR accreditation standards and PACS systems. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
