Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars. EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR (STARSHIP) Responsibilities

Work with maintenance manager to perform full spectrum analysis on asset reliability improvement opportunities, such as suggesting improved preventative maintenance actions, identification of design flaws, with a top down approach to maintenance demand driver reduction Lead a team of technicians through daily repairs, preventative maintenance actions, complex continuous improvement projects, to ensure maximum asset availability for Starbase manufacturing Manage weekly workload distribution and technician task assignments Triage of incoming maintenance requests from internal customers, and effectively resource manage priority workload with all available resources Work with third-party vendors for parts acquisition, asset documentation standards, training, and on-site maintenance actions Subject matter expert in equipment maintenance troubleshooting, mechatronics, project management, team key performance indicator analysis, manufacturing key performance indicator analysis, 5S and LEAN manufacturing strategies, and high-level people leadership in a fast-paced highly iterative environment Lead a diverse technician team to troubleshoot and repair control and electrical system failures involving – PLCs, HMIs, servomotors, servo amplifiers, input/output, field sensors Lead a diverse technician team to troubleshoot and repair various machine hydraulic and pneumatic systems – actuators, valves, pumps, filters Lead a diverse technician team to troubleshoot and repair automated tool mechanical systems – ballscrews, linear rails, guideways, gearboxes, 3 phase motors Provide developmental leadership to a team of technicians, facilitating training and advancement of skills, to maintain cutting edge aerospace technologies Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency certificate 2+ years of experience leading a team, including leading projects and people 5+ years of technical experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical repair Preferred Skills and Experience

Associate degree in a technical discipline plus 5+ years of experience as a maintenance technician or field service engineer Experience installing, aligning and commissioning automated production cells in aerospace environment Experience accessing and modifying Siemens control logic or similar PLC architectures Experience in the application & operation of precision machine tools in aerospace manufacturing environment Experience with CAD and/or mechanical design Experience in breakdown data analysis and six sigma (SQL experience is a distinct advantage) Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and drawings Ability to write detailed repair reports (advanced MS Office skills) Ability to use power tools hand tools and heavy ground support equipment Ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment while adhering to company policies, quality policies, and industry standards Detail oriented, organized, and able to demonstrate a high sense of urgency Analytic thinker that gets to the root of problems and comes up with permanent solutions Self-motivated, autonomous, and able to work well with others Additional Requirements
