Production Associate - 2nd Shift - Days Off: Monday & Tuesday Bedford Park, IL Home Chef is the leading meal solutions company with a retail and online presence. The Tempo brand offers ready-to-heat meals delivered to customers’ doors. Tempo meals are designed to save time and reduce stress while maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Home Chef is committed to helping people cook simple, delicious meals. This role follows a 2nd shift schedule, working from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, with designated days off on Monday and Tuesday. A Production Associate is responsible for labeling, portioning, meal bagging/kitting, and shipping while adhering to floor safety and food safety standard operating procedures (SOPs). Responsibilities
Receive direction from Supervisor or Production Lead to fulfill production requirements. Label packaging at the standard average rate. Use proper measuring utensils to portion ingredients. Maintain strong attention to detail while selecting ingredients for meal bagging/kitting. Visually inspect produce. Transition between tasks when needed. Work at a fast pace with strong attention to detail. Work as a team to reach shipping goals. General Responsibilities
Follow all GMPs while onsite at the facilities. Keep work area clean at all times and assist in end-of-day cleanups. Adhere to safety guidelines (e.g., proper lifting techniques). Support the company’s food safety system (SQF) and quality programs. This position requires 0% travel. Qualifications
