We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to support our ongoing growth. The role involves carrying out a variety of planned and reactive tasks across commercial settings, with a focus on schools and public buildings. The position will involve working at multiple sites, mostly across Hampshire, with some early starts and a shared call-out rota (typically 1 in 4 weeks). About the Role

As an Electrician at Wing’s Technical Services, you will be required to travel between various sites—primarily schools and commercial premises—carrying out a wide range of electrical tasks. These will include both planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive works. You’ll be expected to work to high standards of safety and compliance, representing the company professionally while completing works such as fault diagnosis, remedials, EICRs, and lighting upgrades. Typical duties will include: Attending different sites to carry out reactive electrical maintenance and fault-finding Completing PPM tasks, such as 3-hour emergency lighting drain-downs, testing and recording results Carrying out electrical installations, upgrades, and small power works Producing Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), particularly across larger school sites Installing internal and external LED lighting, including emergency lighting systems Supporting refurbishment projects (e.g. toilet areas) with relevant electrical works such as isolations, hand dryer wiring, and circuit alterations Performing PAT testing across school and commercial environments Logging work via mobile devices, uploading job reports and before/after photos Participating in a shared call-out rota, responding to urgent issues out of hours as required Communicating with caretakers, site staff, and clients, providing updates where needed Working in live environments with a focus on health and safety, safeguarding, and professionalism Supporting the wider team in delivering a reliable and compliant electrical service across all client sites Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition – Essential NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (2357 or equivalent) – Essential Experience of electrical remedial work, fault finding and repair of existing equipment Can complete EICRs for larger premises Can carry out small control wiring tasks Knowledge of controls would be beneficial but not essential Well presented with excellent communication skills – Essential Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working within this role Be flexible and enthusiastic and someone who is keen to progress Have the ability to understand procedures and policies of the organisation Have the ability to follow instructions and know when to ask for help or guidance Hold a full UK Driving Licence Experience working in schools and an Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) Ability to start early when required (e.g. 6am to 7am starts) Good communication skills are essential The Package

£44,000 per year basic salary. Equivalent to £21.15 per hour (based on 40 hours/week) Plus £175 per week when on-call — 1 in 4 rota. Approx. £2,275 additional per year Overtime rates: Time and a half after 6:00pm Monday–Friday Time and a half on Saturdays up to 12:00pm Double time after 12:00pm Saturdays and all-day Sundays Call-outs paid door-to-door (weekends and out-of-hours) Company vehicle Mobile phone and tablet device Private healthcare (employee contribution required) Company pension Company uniform Full support and ongoing training Friendly working environment with twice-yearly social events - a chance for both engineers and office staff to unwind and connect outside of work Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Working Times and Additional Pay Enhancements

You are expected to be on site by 8:00am each day. Occasionally, earlier starts (e.g. 6:00am) may be required depending on site or client needs. Time and a half for hours worked after 6:00pm Monday to Friday Time and a half on Saturdays up to 12:00pm Double time for hours after 12:00pm on Saturdays and all-day Sunday Call-outs (weekend or out-of-hours) are paid door-to-door
