As part of the AWS Applied AI Solutions organization, we aim to provide business applications that are intuitive, turnkey, and easy to buy. We are the Amazon Physical Stores Technical Operations team, responsible for launching and operating the commerce software services that run stores with the “Just Walk Out” technology. Our approach is entrepreneurial; you will be challenged to invent, create and solve complex problems, wear many hats, and collaborate in a startup-like environment. You will need a strong ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues. Key job responsibilities Responsibilities
Seek resolution to problems and mitigate risk, always ensuring a Customer Obsessed experience. Work on services with a direct impact on the customer experience. Love learning and solving distributed systems problems; collaborate with Amazon Physical Stores. Help solve challenges and grow the knowledge of peers via team collaboration. Identify areas of improvement and drive projects to implement them; actively whiteboard and support ideas on the team board. Play an active role in defining support processes for technologies in partnership with technology leaders inside and outside the team. Be comfortable with a higher level of ambiguity and relish solving big challenges. Mentor other engineers in your area of expertise. Expect to work hard, have fun, and impact many customers. This role requires the flexibility to work 5 days a week (occasionally weekends) on a rotational basis. AWS Support is 24x7x365; work timings for this role in India are night shifts (IST): 10 PM–6 AM or 1 PM–10 PM. You are expected to work night shift hours based on business requirements. Basic Qualifications
5+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure Experience programming in at least one modern language (Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust) Experience with Linux/Unix Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes Preferred Qualifications
