Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Senior Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Saginaw, Michigan. For More Info Call William or Text "Saginaw T3" to 904-541-8565. Hear it from a Ryder Technician Employee Here: https://RyderCareers.Video/T3CH Responsibilities Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including standard vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance.
Diagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable.
Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
Replaces defective components as instructed.
Works unsupervised on most tasks and may provide guidance to Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels.
Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the complaint once assigned a task.
Utilizes Shop Management System and electronic documentation available.
Ensures compliance with all safety, DOT, MOT and federal/c provincial guidelines.
Provides support duties as required to back operations (e.g., Service Island support).
Participates in OEM diagnostic/tool courses as required by location fleet mix.
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Vocational or technical certification or post-secondary degree or technical certifications preferred.
Basic tools, required.
Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work).
Basic diagnostics and repairs, including AC and electrical systems, required.
Three (3) years or more relevant work experience preferred.
Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred; all other certifications as required by location, required.
Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment.
Knowledge of computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.
Pass a Ryder Drug Test, a DOT physical, a Ryder road test, and a Ryder background and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification) for the last 3 years.
