Overview
Watertown Health Care Center is currently recruiting a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. We care for seniors with respect, compassion, and dignity, and aim to help residents regain independence in a friendly environment with nutritionally enhanced meals.
Base pay range $35.00/hr - $39.00/hr
Responsibilities
Follow physicians’ orders for resident care, and follow directions of the physical therapist.
Provide appropriate treatment to help residents maintain or attain the highest level of function possible within their physical abilities.
Provide appropriate treatment, preventative measures and adaptive equipment to prevent decline in residents’ function.
Maintain timely and accurate resident reports as required by federal, state and local regulatory agencies and third-party payers.
Observe infection control procedures.
Be responsible for the safety of residents under their supervision.
Consistently work cooperatively with residents, residents’ representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers.
Observe all facility policies and procedures.
Observe facility safety policies and procedures.
Observe guidelines in the employees’ handbook and follow facility Residents’ Rights policies.
Adhere to Corporate Compliance Program Code of Conduct and policies and procedures.
Attend Corporate Compliance Program in servicing as required.
Comply with facility policies and procedures against discrimination and sexual harassment.
Protect the privacy and confidentiality of resident information.
Come to work in clean, neat attire and maintain a professional appearance.
Come to work as scheduled and demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner and perform other related duties as directed by the supervisor.
Perform all duties in an effective, timely and professional manner.
Qualifications
Communication/Language Skills — Must have excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common medical information. Ability to effectively communicate with residents, their families and other healthcare professionals. Ability to present information to supervisor.
Reasoning Ability — Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program
