Cleveland Clinic’s inpatient pharmacy areas support distributive and clinical pharmacy services provided by staff pharmacists, clinical pharmacy specialists and pharmacy technicians, supporting 60 nursing units, 80 operating rooms, 4 PACUs, and 10 cath labs, accounting for over 1,440 inpatient beds.
Responsibilities
As an Oncology and Infusion Stewardship Pharmacist, this is a new opportunity for a pharmacist looking to enhance their career growth through program administration and leadership skills. This role will support oncology and infusion services across the health-system, with an initial emphasis on the Florida market.
A caregiver in this position works primarily remote Monday-Friday, from 8:00am-5:00pm. This role does require a 1 day a week onsite staffing requirement.
Provide support for the financial, prior authorization, and denial appeals processes for outpatient drug infusions, ensuring timely patient access to medication while maintaining cost effectiveness and revenue integrity.
Qualifications Minimum qualifications
PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy and completion of a post-graduate residency or fellowship training.
Specialty residency (is required, if hired for a specialty area where specialty residency training is available).
Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) and completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations or certification obtained within 90 days of hire (For individuals required to administer immunizations).
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA). If caregiver is required to respond to adult or pediatric cardiopulmonary arrest, this is required within one year of hire.
Completion of a post-graduate year 2 residency (PGY2) or fellowship OR completion of a post-graduate year 1 residency (PGY-1) and 2 years of experience as a clinical specialist or an equivalent role which includes providing pharmaceutical care and pharmacotherapeutic monitoring (including 50% or more time in the specialty area) OR 4 years of experience as a clinical specialist or an equivalent role with similar responsibilities.

Must have normal or corrected vision.
Must have ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.
