Per Diem Dispensing Nurse – LPN/LVN

MedMark Treatment Centers is seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse to dispense prescribed medications as part of a treatment team, collaborating with Physicians and Nursing Supervisors. Responsibilities include maintaining dispensing equipment, managing medication inventory, and reporting patient treatment information.

The ideal candidate works cooperatively with supervisory counseling staff and demonstrates a non-judgmental and accepting attitude toward individuals with Substance Use Disorder.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Administer daily medication to patients according to program policies and medical protocols, including Methadone and Suboxone.

Use automated dispensing systems, calibrate pumps, and maintain dispensing equipment.

Produce and maintain records and reports as required by company protocols and regulations.

Ensure compliance with security standards for controlled substances as per federal regulations.

Order, receive, and stock medication following DEA and State regulations (if granted Power of Attorney).

Provide daily assessments of patients.

Assist Nursing Supervisor in orienting new nursing staff.

Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Current and in good standing LPN/LVN license in Indiana.

Current CPR certification.

Proficiency in EMR and computer skills desired.

Experience in chemical dependency preferred; self-motivated with a positive attitude toward individuals in treatment.

Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
