Radiology Technologist
Intermountain Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to support diagnostic imaging services in Murray, Utah. The successful candidate will work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate, high‑quality imaging results.
Base pay range:
$29.00/hr – $44.00/hr
Job Description As a Radiologic Technologist, you will perform diagnostic imaging exams using specialized equipment, assist and instruct students, provide patient education, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Essential Functions
Maintain ARRT or modality‑specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and prepare the patient for the exam.
Perform exams per department protocol and review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.
Complete studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality.
Assist and instruct students and other Radiology Techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.
Provide appropriate patient education, ensure patient comfort, and address concerns.
Practice appropriate infection control and sterile techniques.
Understand and operate equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
Keep accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions.
Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures.

Minimum Qualifications
ARRT (R) certification
Radiologic technologist license in state of practice
BLS for healthcare providers
May need to complete the Medical Assistant Competency Checklist and perform MA functions in a clinic or InstaCare setting.
Preferred Qualifications
1–2 years radiology experience
IV certification
Physical Requirements
Ongoing ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent verbal communication with patient care providers, patients, and visitors during emergency situations.
Manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment; frequent computer use and typing for documentation.
Ability to lift and transfer patients; bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment, up to heavy items.
Walk and assist with transporting patients and distributing supplies; push/pull gurneys and equipment in crowded rooms.
May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period.
Location Murray, Utah
Schedule 40 hours per week (full‑time)
