We're looking for a registered dental hygienist to join our growing team! You’ll complete initial patient screenings, conduct dental cleanings, and assist dentists with examinations and procedures. Use x-ray machines to take photos of the patients’ teeth so the dentist can clearly identify cavities or other oral health issues Keep detailed records of each patient’s visit and update their health history Provide post-operative health education to patients so they can practice good dental care at home after procedures Explain good oral hygiene techniques to patients of all ages, such as thorough brushing and flossing twice daily Check for issues such as gingivitis, periodontitis, or caries so patients can receive care as soon as the problem is identified Your Responsibilities & Role Impact
As a Registered Dental Hygienist at Michiana Smiles, you will: Partner with doctors in creating personalized, comprehensive treatment plans Deliver patient education using the AAP (American Academy of Periodontology) guidelines Foster long-term patient relationships through trust, empathy, and communication Support a preventative-care mindset across all aspects of treatment Contribute to a culture that values quality, not just quantity Qualifications
Has dental hygienist licensure in the state where the job is located Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills Clear understanding and commitment to following HIPAA regulations and all safety guidelines Valid CPR certification At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene Active
Registered Dental Hygienist license in Indiana Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited dental hygiene program Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Passion for delivering a best-in-class patient experience A growth mindset and commitment to team success In-depth knowledge of dental safety regulations and HIPAA regulations Compensation
