About The Position The Temecula Adult Mental Health Clinic is a comprehensive outpatient facility dedicated to serving adults with severe and persistent mental health conditions.
This position leads and supervises a multidisciplinary team, oversees clinical service delivery, monitors staff performance, coordinates workflow and coverage, ensures regulatory compliance, facilitates team meetings, and provides professional guidance and support to staff.
A California Driver’s License is required; the position follows a 9/80 work schedule with start times of 7:30 AM or 8:00 AM.
Responsibilities
Plan, assign, direct, supervise, and coordinate staff providing behavioral health treatment and related services.
Evaluate unit activities and implement changes to align with program goals.
Assess personnel performance, recommend actions, and participate in hiring.
Provide guidance through conferences, meetings, and training programs.
Make or review decisions on complex consumer assessment and casework matters.
Collaborate with public, private, and community agencies to support program goals.
Assist in preparing annual budgets and monitoring expenditures.
Prepare reports and correspondence on unit procedures and workload statistics.
Minimum Qualifications
Licensed professional (LCSW, LMCC, LPCC) issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Science.
Minimum of two years post‑licensure experience in psychiatric or behavioral health services, including client assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy or counseling, and indirect services.
Valid California driver’s license.
Additional Qualifications (Preferred)
Six semester units or nine quarter units focused on marriage and family therapy, or a named specialization in that area.
No less than 500 hours of documented supervised experience with couples, families, or children.
A minimum of six hours of continuing education in marriage and family therapy per license renewal cycle.
Supplemental Information
Position eligible for a 10% DTR differential, applicable to hours physically worked.
Differential can be removed at any time; the certification list may be used for future Behavioral Health Service Supervisor vacancies.
