Physical Therapy Assistant (Per Diem) – Leonard Florence Center for Living, part of Chelsea Jewish Lifecare. The Leonard Florence Center for Living is located in Chelsea, MA and serves residents with ALS, MS and other progressive neurological diseases, as well as short-term rehab in a SNF setting. We are seeking a collaborative per diem PTA to deliver exceptional care across disciplines within our Rehab team. Responsibilities
Provide Physical Therapy services to residents and initiate referrals when appropriate Conduct screening of residents as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation to determine need for intervention/treatment Establish individual resident schedules in conjunction with other team members Coordinate and implement treatment plans Document results of residents\' treatment Demonstrate sound judgment in planning, implementation and follow-up of resident therapy programs Comply with Infection Control, Universal Precautions and OSHA standards Perform other job duties as assigned Qualifications
Associates degree for Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited institution Current Massachusetts Licensure as a PTA - Physical Therapy Assistant Experience in geriatrics long-term care or short-term rehab is preferred Maintains educational competency as required by state and federal regulations Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend and squat for prolonged periods Ability to push, pull objects and lift/carry up to 20 pounds unassisted on a frequent basis and up to 50 pounds or more with assistance on occasion Ability to interact effectively with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, the general public and other staff members Hours
Per-Diem. Salary
Salary: $38 - $42 per hour Benefits
