Speech Therapist
The Speech Therapist evaluates and treats residents and patients with temporary or long‑term speech, hearing, swallowing and cognitive disabilities in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Responsibilities
Plans and administers medically prescribed speech therapy treatment for patients with speech, language, and swallowing problems.
Evaluates speech and language skills as related to educational, medical, social, and psychological factors.
Reviews referral, physician’s orders, patient’s condition, and medical records to determine speech therapy treatment indicated. Accepts physician orders regarding speech therapy services.
Performs initial patient evaluation before initiating therapy. Performs and documents OASIS assessments at appropriate time points.
Plans and prepares written treatment plans based on evaluation of patient data in conjunction with the physician, patient, and caregiver(s).
Plans direct or conduct rehabilitative treatment plans to restore communicative efficiency of individuals with communication problems of organic and non‑organic etiology.
Other duties as requested.

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of speech pathology and language disorders.
Licensed as a speech‑language pathologist by the Washington State Board of Speech‑Language Pathology and Audiology.
