ECU Health Physicians and the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine are seeking a BE/BC Endocrinologist to join their division. The successful candidate will provide clinical care in general endocrinology, diabetes, and lipid disorders and will have the opportunity to teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
Highlights Include
Employment by ECU Health Physicians
Academic appointment with East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine
Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center, a 974‑bed academic medical center
Clinical responsibilities will include both inpatient and outpatient patient care
Established division inclusive of 4 physicians, 1 advanced practice provider, nurses, CMA’s and a nutritionist
Division home to a one‑year diabetes fellowship program for primary care physicians and a fully accredited two‑year endocrine fellowship program (two fellows per year)
Division faculty are clinically productive, highly respected, and actively involved in the training of medical students, residents and fellows
Opportunity to participate in and contribute to active clinical trials and other scholarly research efforts led by the endocrinology division
29‑county referral network that includes 1.5 million residents
Greenville, NC located 80 miles east of Raleigh, NC and 80 miles northwest of Atlantic Beach, NC

Requirements
MD from an appropriately accredited institution
Completion of at least a three‑year Internal Medicine Residency and at least a two‑year Endocrinology Fellowship
Board eligible/certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology
Strong clinical, teaching, and interpersonal skills are required
