Overview
Family Pet Clinic- North Richland Hills offers up to a $1,500 travel stipend for Clinical Year Externships! An externship experience at an NVA hospital will give students the opportunity to understand the day-to-day operations of the practice and gain hands-on clinical experience. Although every NVA hospital is unique, they share a supportive environment, commitment to excellent medicine, and exceptional service to animals and the people who love them. Responsibilities
Work closely with supervising Associate Veterinarians to gain experience in gathering patient histories, performing physical exams, creating treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry services, observing/assisting or performing surgical procedures, and medical management of patients. Practice clinical skills and communication with the medical team, support staff, and clients. About Family Pet Clinic of North Richland
Our DVMs specialize in the science of veterinary medicine and treat exotics as well as household pocket pets, goats, and pigs. Externship Details
Most externship experiences at Family Pet Clinic of North Richland range from two to eight weeks depending on student and hospital schedules. All veterinary students (regardless of class year) are encouraged to participate in NVA externships. Veterinary students who are in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend. View the stipend amounts and details on the stipend program.
