as an FFS Therapist for our Midtown Substance Abuse Program. This role focuses on providing high‑quality outpatient substance abuse treatment, facilitating in‑person and virtual individual and group counseling for both FFS and salaried positions.
Job Summary Outpatient substance abuse treatment facility seeks highly motivated Counselors/therapists to facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, ensuring a minimum of 15 hours of client contact weekly with paid supervision and conference. The program offers flexibility in days/hours and provides weekly supervision, ongoing OASAS‑approved in‑service training, and compensation for supervision.
Responsibilities
Provide substance abuse treatment for clients, including group, individual, and family counseling and crisis intervention.
Facilitate groups for adult outpatient clients and provide individual counseling services for caseload clients.
Complete and maintain documentation including treatment plans & reviews, psycho‑social assessments, progress and session notes, discharge plans, and reports.
Ensure clients’ medical examinations and psychiatric evaluations are completed.
Attend regularly scheduled case conferences, weekly communications, supervisory and special agency staff meetings.
Maintain credentialing and attend required training.
Provide clients with referrals and assist with obtaining appropriate services and resources.
Coordinate services with referral sources such as the Criminal Justice System, consulting psychiatrists, and medical providers.
Participate in intake, outreach, and screening of clients and provide counseling and referral services to clients’ families.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and uphold all agency policies and Code of Conduct.
Qualifications CASAC, LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or MSW (if not licensed, obtain license within 6 months). Experience with substance use disorder and/or LGBTQ+ population and/or MICA is preferred.
