This position provides technical support to the research and scientific investigations in the laboratory of Dr. Ann-Kathrin Eisfeld. Responsibilities include performing a variety of molecular, cellular, and biological research techniques such as PCR reactions, DNA and RNA extraction, gel electrophoresis, cell culture, Northern and Western blot assays, sample processing, and library preparation. The role involves assisting with flow cytometry to sort patient samples, maintaining general lab equipment, troubleshooting new procedures, handling lab animals (weight monitoring and medication administration), recording and summarizing research results, preparing research progress reports, and attending lab meetings and literature reviews.
