Position Summary Shriners Salt Lake City is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a full‑time temporary position from December through March in the Outpatient Clinic. The CMA will work under the supervision of the Outpatient Department Manager and Physicians.

Schedule: Monday‑Friday (in‑person). Compensation varies based on qualifications, experience and education.

Responsibilities

Prepare clinic daily and maintain workflow.

Verify that all consults and lab results are available before patient encounters.

Assist physicians with patient care: rooming patients, taking histories, administering care coordination brochures, and managing clinic flow.

Enter real‑time patient data in EMR (e.g., medication, allergies, height, weight) and complete departure summaries.

Facilitate cast applications and removals, room disinfection, and restocking of supplies.

Participate in ongoing education on diagnosis and procedures to support patient education.

Document relevant patient information in PowerChart and Profile applications.

Required Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.

Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Pediatric and orthopedic experience.

Cast removal skills.

Bilingual ability.
