Scheduled Weekly Hours : 40 Department : 500236 Surgical Pathology SMH Work Shift : UR - Evening (United States of America) Salary Range : $20.31 - $27.42 Responsibilities

Performs a diversity of technical assignments which are broadly outlined, require some theoretical insight and occasionally require the interpretation of results. Exercises complex skill and judgment, and knowledge of the principles and methods of a technical field. Serves as a resource to physicians, nurses and other laboratory personnel regarding specimen handling and processing. Organizes and triages slides to Surgical Pathology and Autopsy Faculty and Residents based upon subspecialty and schedule. 40% Maintains daily, weekly, monthly maintenance of H&E stainers and tissue processors. 25% Assists in record-keeping related to temperature monitoring, maintenance, and inventory. 10% Assists in support duties in other areas of surgical pathology as needed. 10% Maintains tissue blocks files when necessary. Maintains record of blocks pulled. 10% Performs other activities as requested. 5% Requirements

Associate degree in a related science with course work in Anatomy, and Physiology; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Laboratory experience is preferred. Equal Employment Opportunity
