Overview
Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is recruiting for Emergency Medicine Fellow(s) in Healthcare Simulation and Education at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx (NCB) for the July 2026 to June 2027 academic year. This is a unique partnership with the Institute of Medical Simulation and Advanced Learning’s Simulation Fellowship. Jacobi is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and NCB has 213 licensed beds. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM). The Healthcare Simulation and Education fellowship is a one-year, full-time academic and clinical training program housed within a high-volume, urban Level 1 academic emergency department. It aims to develop physicians versed in educational theories, curriculum development, simulations, and debriefs. Fellows will facilitate resident education, lead research projects, and integrate simulation into quality improvement initiatives across the hospital system. They will aspire to become leaders in the emergency medicine simulation community. The fellowship was established in 2021 and is currently training its 6th and 7th Fellows. Clinical time will function as an Emergency Medicine Attending and will span two campuses: Jacobi Medical Center and NCB. Join a top-tier Emergency Medicine Faculty at Jacobi Medical Center, affiliated with AECOM. Practice at a high-acuity, high-volume ACS Level 1 Trauma Center, Stroke Center, Burn Center, and STEMI/PCI center. NCB ED has among the highest patient satisfaction scores in NYC Health + Hospitals. Faculty appointments and teaching responsibilities at Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM). Jacobi EM is a main teaching site for a premier Emergency Medicine residency program with 84 total EM residents over 4 years. Jacobi EM operates Jacobi’s regional snake-bite center and a multi-person hyperbaric treatment facility for elective and emergency cases. The Department has active programs in ultrasound, simulation, hyperbarics, toxicology / addiction care, public health and advocacy, global health, education, and research. Successful candidates will be committed to excellence in patient care, education, and promoting scholarship to support the Department’s mission. Annual Base Salary: $151,923 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): 3% immediate, plus 7% after one year of service, with no employee match required.
