Job Description:

The Project Executive ("PX") is a senior manager responsible for program oversight and delivery of large-scale construction projects, primarily in heavy civil infrastructure federal contracts. Projects may include navigation locks, dams, naval base infrastructure, piers, dry docks, levees, or flood walls for agencies like USACE, NAVFAC, or other government entities, located in the Mid-West or Mid-Atlantic regions. The PX may lead a single mega project or multiple projects within a specific market segment, utilizing various contract procurement methods such as Design-Bid-Build, ECI, Design-Build, MATOC, MACC, or IDIQ. Responsibilities include coordinating subcontractors and self-performing trades, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring project safety, schedule, and budget adherence. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Build and sustain a positive project and company culture through active engagement and open communication. Establish and maintain liaison with clients to facilitate project delivery. Define project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards aligned with corporate and client policies. Outline work plans, assign duties, and delegate authority to project staff. Plan staffing and coordinate recruitment with senior management. Direct project activities to ensure progress on schedule and within budget. Review project plans, proposals, and status reports, adjusting schedules as needed. Prepare reports for management and clients. Provide technical guidance and resolve issues with project personnel. Coordinate activities with governmental agencies and subcontractors. Analyze and execute CPM-based project schedules. Oversee safety and quality through on-site supervision. Represent the company in owner progress meetings. Manage financial aspects, including contracts and project profitability. Lead project meetings and mentor team members. Participate in strategic planning for assigned markets. Perform additional duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering or Construction Management. PE and/or DBIA credentials are advantageous but not mandatory. Minimum of 10 years' experience in construction, contracts, design, finance, and management. Skills and Abilities: Understanding of regulations, policies, and standards. Effective management and leadership skills. Knowledge of industry best practices and their impact on projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Business acumen and ability to interface effectively with stakeholders.
