As a Full-Time Psychiatric Care Nurse (RN) at RCSC, you will be a key player in providing care to individuals experiencing mental health crises. Your responsibilities include working with a staff psychiatrist to assist with the prescription, administration, and monitoring of medications, and conducting in-depth assessments to determine the appropriate medical and nursing care for each individual. Responsibilities
Develop and evaluate individualized treatment plans. Oversee safe and accurate medication management and coordination of medical services, including referrals, transportation, and medical appointments. Offer supportive counseling to clients and families, and provide crisis intervention and emergency services when necessary. Contribute to the well-being of the community by ensuring clients receive comprehensive care and support. Qualifications
Licensed RN by the Virginia Board of Nursing (VA DHP). At least one year of behavioral health experience. Willing to register as a QMHP-A trainee within the first 30 days of employment. A valid Virginia Driver's License. Other requirements include strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to provide crisis intervention, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
