Diesel Truck & Trailer Mechanic
for our
Williston, ND
terminal. This position reports directly to the Terminal Manager and is responsible for ensuring trucks and trailers are regularly maintained by inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing of all systems and components of transport trucks and trailers. Job Duties
Services, adjusts, repair or replaces parts and components of truck-trailer systems in a timely manner. Regularly communicates status updates of repairs with appropriate personnel. Performs truck repairs according to manufacturer’s specifications. Coordinates with vendors regarding repairs, inspections, and regular maintenance. Retains applicable certification requirements and performs vehicle inspections according to FMCSA standards. Reads and understands work orders and task procedures; is capable of interpreting technical manuals. Performs assigned tasks in accordance with production standards required by the Company and the industry. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of purchase order/work order entries and processing. Writes service reports, diagnoses the cause of failures, and keeps service analysis records. Participates in all safety related, compliance, and regulatory programs and education. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications
4-7 years of directly related experience. Experience and understanding of rebuilding an engine. Experience and understanding of aftertreatment systems. Required to have own set of hand tools. Must be available for on call work as required. Must be able to successfully pass a background check. Must have a clear motor vehicle record (MVR). Must pass a pre-employment drug screening. CDL Class A Driver’s License is considered an asset, but not required. Pay, Benefits, And Perks
Sign on Bonus - $3000.00 $25.00 to $35.00 an hour Monday to Friday between 50-60 hours per week. Overtime paid after 40 hours a week. 10 Paid Vacation Days each year. 9 Paid Holidays each year. Comprehensive Benefits Package (Medical, Dental, Disability, Life, and AD&D insurance) Employer matching 401K Plan.
