Kienstra Co . Kienstra - Ready Mix Concrete has served the St. Louis Regional Area since 1947. This is a day shift Monday through Friday position with available overtime. A valid driver's license from your state of residence with appropriate endorsements and a clean driving record is required. Pre-employment background checks and drug tests are required. The purpose of this position is to perform routine, preventative, diagnostic, and repair maintenance on all Company equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner. The technician may be called upon to work extensive overtime as weather and business conditions warrant. You will perform a complete range and variety of major, minor and routine repairs on heavy equipment or heavy vehicles. You will require the ability to repeat the same or similar tasks multiple times in a day. You must be able to work in severe weather conditions, both heat and cold, and endure long periods of standing/walking as well as frequent reaching, bending, or lifting. You may be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, and oils. Responsibilities and duties

Perform routine, preventative, diagnostic, and repair maintenance on all Company equipment. Complete a range of major, minor and routine repairs on heavy equipment or heavy vehicles. Ensure adherence to safety policies including lockout/tagout, confined space, and hazard communication. Maintain and document service records; communicate with peers, managers, drivers, and vendors to explain problems and solutions. Operate basic shop tools and equipment; perform tire changes and maintenance; welding and fabrication as needed. Read/write/interpret directions; use basic math and computer skills. May require travel to plant locations based on needs. Maintain a safe and clean work area; ensure personal safety and safety of fellow employees by following company guidelines. Requirements and qualifications

Daily inspection of the lot to verify equipment condition and identify potential out-of-service items. Experience with engine scanning systems; knowledge of International, Kenworth, Mack, Sterling, Western Star trucks is desirable. Experience with end dump and pneumatic trailers; experience with DPF systems, electrical, air, fuel, and brake systems required. Ability to troubleshoot; maintain repair orders including labor hours, parts used, and general comments. Welding and fabrication skills; maintain inventory and order parts as needed. Perform repairs on fleet equipment in yard and on the road; drive and test drive trucks before and after repairs as needed. Must possess own hand tools; strong knowledge of health and safety standards. CDL and technical certifications are desirable. Job type and location
