Purpose Of The Position

Improve existing manufacturing processes, equipment and capabilities. Support or lead continuous improvement activities, new product or process receivership, cost reduction projects, and equipment installs and debug. Solve process issues through data analysis, experimentation, and collaboration with subject matter experts. Collaborate with team members to solve difficult technical, engineering-related problems. Day To Day Responsibilities

Provide engineering-level production support to manufacturing operations and actively engage in plant safety initiatives and projects. Solve process issues through data analysis, experimentation, and collaboration with subject matter experts. Provide engineering expertise for fundamental understanding of manufacturing issues. Lead and/or support projects involving cost reduction, process optimization, and new products. Develop and maintain systems to monitor and proactively address equipment/process performance, including trend analysis and implementation plans. Receive and integrate new technologies to improve process capability while ensuring proper processes are followed during transfer. Travel Requirements:

Up to 25% to various manufacturing sites in the division. Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

8-10 hours/day; 40-50 hours/week. This is predominantly a day shift position but requires a week-long night and weekend shift commitment every 4 weeks for the first six months. Qualifications

Required Education:

BS or MS in Materials, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Ceramic Engineering. Required Years and Area of Experience:

2-4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Required Skills:

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization; use scientific method and engineering principles to solve problems; strong data analysis and statistical skills; proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Minitab or equivalent; ability to determine and recommend best solutions within plant guidelines; strong communication and presentation skills. Desired Skills

Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting. Project management experience. Soft Skills

Work well in multidisciplinary teams and independently with minimal oversight. Strong written and verbal communication skills; personal initiative and commitment; organized with good planning and time management; positive attitude, flexible and good work ethic. This position does not support immigration sponsorship. Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $82,157.00 - $112,966.00, with starting pay dependent on factors such as location, experience, and education.
