Responsibilities Clinicians will be able to choose their own hours, according to the hours expectation based on full‑time hour requirements. Full‑time therapists will be responsible for keeping a minimum of 20 scheduled appointments and at least 15 billable hours per week.
Supervise a minimum of two junior clinicians
Prep for client sessions including reviewing case notes ahead of time
Maintain regular weekly sessions with clients
Submit client session notes, diagnosis & assessment, treatment plans, and discharge notes via SimplePractice platform within 24‑48 hours of the session
Communicate with the clinical and admin team in a timely manner
Attend weekly / biweekly check‑ins with the practice owner during the 90‑day probationary period
Requirements
Have an active and non‑restricted license as an LCSW in the state of New York
Be willing to complete credentialing and insurance paneling requirements
Ability to maintain proper licensure, including acquiring necessary CEUs, training, etc
Have a working laptop and reliable internet with access to an ethernet cord
Designated professional, quiet, and distraction‑free workspace
Qualifications Experience, training, or an unwavering interest in at least one of the following areas:
Attachment Theory
Brainspotting
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
EFT
EMDR
Mind+Body Connection
Mindfulness
Narrative Therapy
Solutions‑Focused
Somatic Experiencing
Trauma Treatment Modalities
Must demonstrate the ability to work independently in meeting deadlines, accessing resources, collaborating with external treatment team providers, and completing required documentation
Must demonstrate cultural competence working with diverse populations
Experience working with the Adolescent population
Openness or experience working with LGBTQ+ population
Openness or experience working with non‑traditional relationship structures
Strong communication skills and the ability to be an active part of a growing team
Timely communication and follow‑up on all inquiries and intakes
Ability to build and maintain a steady caseload as required
Preferred but not required
Previous private practice experience
Previous experience working via telehealth
Credentialed with some insurance panels
