Qualifications
Custom Body Fabrication/Welder/Paint prep experience
US work authorization (Required)
Automotive Restoration
High school or equivalent (Education)
MIG/TIG Welding/Panel fitting
Experience with body/paint hand and power tools with precise hand-eye coordination
Strong attention to detail with ability to properly install components in tight spaces of vehicle
Comfortable with automotive lift operation
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working independently
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
Adherence to health regulations and safety equipment
Ability to use basic computer login/logout for timecard

About Classic Touch Interiors & Restorations Classic Touch Interiors & Restorations is a classic automotive restoration shop located in Englewood, Colorado. We provide full frame off restorations, mechanical, interior, body/fabrication and paint services all under one roof. About Your Role Classic Touch is currently experiencing a healthy flow of inbound projects. We need reliable, skilled technicians and craftsmen with proven, professional experience that truly care about their work and have a passion for classic cars. Specifically, we are looking for a custom metal fabricator/welder, panel fitting/fabrication, MIG/TIG welding, rust repair, and body modifications (butt welding, no overlapping). Bodywork includes panel fit, blocking, sanding, priming, and paint finishing (wet sanding and buffing). Ninety percent of our work is custom car building for 1995 and earlier vehicles.
Expectations of Job Performance
Project Management : Use the work order to assess efficient and logical plans with materials and parts on hand. Take direction from shop manager and self-manage your time on projects for maximum efficiency. Near daily progress reporting and strong attention to deadlines is expected.
Parts and Materials Handling : Maintain accurate records of all materials. Communicate missing or broken parts immediately. Verify correct part fit before installation and inspect raw and finished product for conformance to specifications.
Shop Procedure and Tool Maintenance : Keep a clean, safe, and efficiently organized workstation daily. Assist with daily workflow duties, including moving cars and large tools, and maintain basic and advanced fabrication tools.
Physical Demands
Lift, carry, and place merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Frequent standing, bending, and reaching, including squatting, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
Long periods under suspended vehicle on jacks or a lift.
Safely operate a motor vehicle.
