Manufacturing Engineering role for supporting assembly operations of the Airbus A320neo Nacelle systems. Responsible for learning the fundamentals necessary to optimize the performance of a wide range of tasks and services in support of assembly operations, production and business unit objectives. Participates in the design and arrangement of machines and tooling and sequence of operations and may check that mandatory modifications are incorporated to ensure configuration compliance. Analyzes operations information and makes changes to procedures as needed to solve problems and improve efficiency. What You Will Do

Ensures sequence on manufacturing process and product builds, is followed and complies with EH&S and Quality requirements. Owns design and arrangement of tooling and machines of the manufacturing process (layout). Improve manufacturing processes/products to achieve producibility working with design engineers. Implement process upgrades by applying various engineering applications such as robotics and automation. Identify opportunities on drawings and specs to influence changes to engineering designs and line balancing. Participate in tool design reviews to ensure tools are feasible and reduce build times and program costs during fabrication. Uses data analytics / SPC for productivity, First Pass Yield and OEE targets and improvement. Drive problem solving initiatives & challenge status quo (CA Investigations, OEE, FPY, Customer escapes). Participates and contributes on PFMEA and Control Plans. Owns creation and maintains manufacturing process documents (routings, BOM, visual aids, Std work, etc.). Participate on digital manufacturing solutions with support from Digital subject matter experts. Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field. Experience reading and interpreting specifications, engineering drawings and models. Experience with Continuous Improvement tools. Experience with CAD design software. Qualifications We Prefer

Experience in robotics and automation. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Red X ACE or CORE. Experience with CATIA, SAP. Understanding of Project Management methods. Microsoft Office. Experience adapting equipment or tooling design to factory and production conditions. Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees. More details available during the application process. The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. This is a good faith estimate and depends on factors including experience, location, and qualifications. Hired applicants may be eligible for additional benefits and incentive programs as described by the company and local business unit. This role is a U.S.-based position.
