Summary: The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling work in a safe and efficient manner for up to 20 Mechanics and Electricians. The Maintenance Planner reports to the Maintenance Manager within the Maintenance Department. What You’ll Do
Develop detailed job plans including labor type and quantity, materials, tools, and work procedures for repairs, alterations, and preventative maintenance related to facilities and equipment to meet work request objectives. Set up and maintain preventive maintenance work orders in the Company CMMS, including job plans, frequency, crafts, man-hours, and parts/tools required. Manage and maintain the work flow process (work identification, planning, scheduling, execution, and auditing). Maintain work order backlog for specific areas of the plant. Prepare a Gantt chart for wash-up day activities, including production, clean up crew, electrical, and mechanical personnel. Participate in wash-up day half-time meetings. Conduct time studies to improve efficiency of production, maintenance, and clean up crews as related to wash-up day performance. Incorporate plant delay items into weekly wash-ups. Complete scorecards for each wash-up day and provide accurate man-hours by craft to facilitate decision-making. Generate purchase requests for non-stocked parts and tools to support the plan. Develop storeroom organization surrounding parts kitting, including shelving, locations, storage kits, and markings; ensure all work orders have parts kitted. What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent maintenance planning experience. 3 or more years of maintenance experience in a continuous operation (24/7) manufacturing environment. Electrical and mechanical background (preferred). Advanced skills with standard word processing and spreadsheet software. Experience with a CMMS, such as MP2 or similar system. Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to coordinate activities and accomplish goals. Attention to detail and follow-up. Ability to lead and participate in cross-functional teams. Knowledge of root cause and fault tree analysis techniques. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; sound judgment, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. Ability to manage the flow of information and documentation. What You’ll Receive
As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $80,000.00 to $105,000.00. Placement in the range depends on factors such as experience, skills, geography, and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
