Fabrication Technician/Installer

Your role
Mission
- As a Fabrication Technician/Installer for Atlas Copco's Compressor Technique division (Airmac), your primary responsibility will be to perform fabrication and installation of components to produce a working process into a self-contained unit per Customer specifications. You will represent our brand's commitment to quality and reliability, collaborating closely with both internal teams and clients to address their needs effectively.
Roles and Responsibilities
Install components into designated locations, then connect units via piping, tubing and electrically in accordance with the plan drawings. Troubleshoot design errors and report them to Management and the drafter to resolve issues.
Read and interpret drawings to understand layout, piping and tubing specifications, cut and thread lengths as designed. Light electrical knowledge for proper wiring is required. Willingness to learn welding.
Manage time productively with a sense of urgency. Promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.
To succeed, you will need Qualifications
Experience
- 2-3 years in an industrial environment with high temperatures. Experience with manual repairs for construction. Forklift and/or welding experience is a plus.
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Working knowledge of grinders, saws, and threaders is useful.
Skills
- Able to work independently with strong self-management and professionalism. Able to meet deadlines. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, 100 lbs occasionally, and work in an industrial environment with extremes in temperature, including standing, bending, and kneeling.
The successful candidate will also be able to work with newer technicians, apprentices and interns to teach basic skills and assist in training other team members.
