WEEKLY HOURS - .5 COURSE CREDIT:
No more than 10 hours per week. No more than 6 hours per day, plus complete a self-reflection project and present it during the last week of the internship. Currently a 1 - 2 semester limit.
HOURLY PAY:
$15/hr stipend (No taxes withheld)
WHEN WORK HAPPENS:
Monday through Friday 8:40 AM - 3:40 PM

Summary Of Position
We are seeking an individual to:
Assist introductory Engineering students with 3D modeling and dimensioning drawing Assist the Engineering instructor with running 3D printers, organizing tools, and preparing materials for design problems Assist the Engineering Instructor with pre-reviews of design work submitted by students in the introductory Engineering class
Hard Skills
Enrolled in High School or GED Has completed Engineering 4 or is currently enrolled in Engineering 4 Recommendation by Engineering Instructor
Soft Skills
Strong written and oral communication skills Organized student with a positive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn Attention to work rules and deadlines
Exposure & Training provided through internship
We will teach you how to grade student work, effectively communicate how to correct the mistakes the students made on their work, and how to be a mentor to the Engineering students.
Working and Physical Conditions/Onboarding Requirements (**vaccinations, etc.)
Please speak to your SEL Teacher/Advisor/Mentor regarding working and physical conditions at your intern site. You will also be required to sign and upload a W-9 and Parental Permission form. In addition, you will be required to electronically acknowledge Non-Disclosure and Internship agreements.
As part of your application, you will be expected to fill out your emergency contact information, school, and other personal information as required by Albuquerque Public Schools Work-Based Learning programs and the New Mexico Public Education Department.
