Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screenings and insurance exams. Administer oral solutions according to training. Research test/client information and confirm and verify all written and electronic orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools. Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data as required. Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information and collect payments when required, following corporate policies. Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing) and prepare for transport as required by test orders. Perform non-patient-facing duties (inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, using email). Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures. Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data as needed. Maintain phlebotomy logs (e.g., maintenance and temperature logs) in a timely manner. Complete online and in-person training courses timely. Travel to additional doctor’s offices or Patient Service Center sites when needed. Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training (e.g., medical assistant or paramedic) preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington. Work Experience
One to three years of phlebotomy experience preferred. Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience preferred. Benefits
