Job Overview

Under the direction of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for day-to-day comprehensive pharmacy technician services in the Materials area of the Home Infusion pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for delivery ticket fulfillment, labeling and packaging medications orders and inventory management. The Pharmacy Technician I will skillfully use interpersonal, customer service, problem solving and collaboration skills to support and influence operational objectives. Job Expectations

Partner with nurses, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure pharmacy patients receive their medication(s) and supplies accurately, safely, in accordance with all legal requirements and policies and in a professional and timely manner. Under the direction of the pharmacist, fulfill and prepare prescription orders for delivery in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with all legal, regulatory agency and Fairview requirements. Coordinate the ordering and delivery of medications, supplies and equipment to patients and clinical areas as requested. Organization Expectations, as applicable

Completes all required learning relevant to the role Complies with all relevant laws, regulation and policies

Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications to Fulfill Job Responsibilities

Required Experience Completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program within one year of registering with state board OR one year of experience as a pharmacy clerk or like position within a healthcare setting. License/Certification/Registration Registered Technician with Minnesota Board of Pharmacy Preferred

Education

Graduate of Pharmacy Technician program Completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program License/Certification/Registration Pharmacy certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Benefit Overview
